Atlanta neighborhood clean-up this Saturday, April 30th, in Westview!

For our neighbors who live in Westview in southwest Atlanta, you might have met Ayana Gabriel. She’s extremely involved in the neighborhood and specifically with helping plan special events, such as the Westview Tour of Homes, the Summer Solstice Cookout, events with Kipp Strive, and more. Below is an email I got from her today about a clean-up coming up this Saturday in Westview that I wanted to share with you:

In case you missed it, May 7 is going to be a huge day for the neighborhood! In Westview, we will be partnering with Adair Park to host our first ever Open House.” Think of it as a Tour of Homes for houses for sale. This is an opportunity for potential home owner’s to take a look at some of the great homes in our neighborhood. Beginning on May 6, West End will be holding their annual West Fest. This event includes an outdoor concert, market festival, and Tour of Homes.

See below for more information on the May 7 event, but that’s not why I’m writing now. Of course, just as your mother taught you, we should clean-up before we have visitors. So this Saturday, April 30, from 9 – 12 pm we will have a clean-up of a few streets in the neighborhood that will have homes open for viewing. We need neighbors ready to pick up light and heavy trash. We also need anyone with a pick-up truck who can drive around that day. We will meet in front of KIPP STRIVE located at 1444 Lucile Avenue at 9 am.

We will be targeting the Lucile corridor, Rogers Ave (1600 block), Altoona Place (400 block), Inman (400 block) and East Ontario (400 block).

Special Thanks to C.T. Martin’s office who has donated a dumpster for the day.

You can reach me directly at agabriel1908@yahoo.com if you have any questions or need more information. Otherwise, hope to see you Saturday!
